Requirement 1

Professional status

The candidate should work as an automotive appraiser or in a comparable technical vehicle assessment role.

Requirement 2

Technical background

The candidate should demonstrate automotive, mechanical, vehicle technology or comparable technical competence.

Requirement 3

Practical experience

The candidate should provide evidence of practical work in damage assessment, valuation, repair verification or vehicle technology.

Requirement 4

Quality of documentation

The candidate should be able to prepare structured, traceable and technically reasoned appraisal documentation.

Requirement 5

Professional reliability

The candidate should meet membership obligations and communicate responsibly with the association.

Requirement 6

Continuous development

The candidate should be ready to maintain competence through technical updates, training and professional development.

Four-year validity

MOTOEXPERT appraiser certification is granted for a defined validity period of four years. Renewal requires updated documentation and confirmation of continued professional suitability.

Requested certified appraisal scopes

The candidate may request one or more scopes: Vehicle Damage and Valuation Appraisal, Automotive Technology Appraisal, Caravan and Motorhome Appraisal or Road Traffic Technical Assessment.
