Whether you are a member, a candidate for certification, an information seeker or another interested party: we respect and protect your right to data protection and privacy and take all legally required measures to protect your personal data.

1. The controller

2. Expert verification, candidate admission and complaint management

We process data provided by members, candidates (including uploaded credential documents and sample appraisals) and complainants in order to manage applications, verification records, complaints and disciplinary matters. Legal bases: performance of membership agreements and our statutes (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), our legitimate interests in pursuing complaint or disciplinary matters (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and legal obligations, in particular under tax law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). Data is deleted when these purposes cease to exist, unless statutory retention obligations apply. IT service providers may act as processors for system maintenance.

3. Enquiries and this website

We process the data of individuals submitting enquiries in order to answer them; without it, providing information is not possible. This website sets no tracking cookies: fonts are self-hosted and no third-party widgets are embedded. Technically necessary processing (server logs) is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Events and training

For seminars, training events and conferences we process data of participants, lecturers and staff on the basis of the event agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For payment execution, data may be transmitted to payment service providers and banks within the EU.

5. Your rights

You have the rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation of consent and objection. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law.
