MOTOEXPERT Appraiser Application Checklist
MOTOEXPERT applies a high admission barrier. Candidate status is possible only through the engineer path, automotive technician path or master craft path, each with documented independent automotive appraisal practice.
Who can apply
MOTOEXPERT accepts only candidates who can document one of three admission paths: engineer with at least 5 years of independent automotive appraisal practice, automotive technician with at least 10 years of independent automotive appraisal practice, or master craft professional with at least 10 years of independent automotive appraisal practice. Candidates who do not meet one of these paths should not proceed to certification review.
MOTOEXPERT appraiser candidate admission gates
This is the entry level. A candidate is not yet a certified MOTOEXPERT appraiser. The first review is not a general interest check, but a strict admission gate based on formal technical automotive qualification and independent automotive appraisal practice.
Admission gate
Engineer path
The candidate must hold an engineer or master degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, vehicle technology or a directly related technical vehicle discipline and must document at least 5 years of independent automotive appraisal practice.
Admission gate
Automotive technician path
The candidate must hold a formal automotive technician qualification or equivalent formal technical automotive education and must document at least 10 years of independent automotive appraisal practice.
Admission gate
Master craft path
The candidate must hold a master craft diploma as a motor vehicle mechanic, automotive electromechanic, bodywork technician or vehicle painter and must document at least 10 years of independent automotive appraisal practice.
No exceptions
Excluded profiles
Non-technical education, general automotive experience, vehicle trade activity, short courses, hobby-level vehicle knowledge or lack of a formal technical automotive qualification do not meet the MOTOEXPERT admission gate.
Audit 85-90%
Quality audit of previous work
Only after the admission gate is fulfilled, standard candidates submit 5 to 10 anonymised previous appraisals, calculations or valuations. The expected technical correctness is at least 85 to 90 percent.
Decision
Admission decision
Submitting documents does not mean admission or certification. MOTOEXPERT proceeds only with candidates who fulfil one of the three admission paths and can document it.
From candidate to certified appraiser
The MOTOEXPERT review path is structured, documented and traceable. The association may request additional documents at any stage.
Process
Submit documents
The candidate sends one structured PDF package through the application form with qualification, experience and sample documentation.
