The training structure, annual competence maintenance, technical topics, documentation requirements and the four-year recertification cycle for MOTOEXPERT appraisers.
Training system
Training is connected with professional competence, appraiser quality and continued eligibility for certified status. The standard expects at least 40 training hours per year with technical relevance to appraisal work.

Driver-assistance systems, sensor damage, calibration, OBD and diagnostic documentation.

Damage and valuation
Damage documentation, repair-cost calculation, residual value and valuation logic.
AT
Automotive technology
Vehicle systems, repair methods, quality checks and modern automotive technology.
CM
Caravans and motorhomes
Caravans, motorhomes, water and hail damage and special body structures.
RT
Road traffic assessment
Technical traffic circumstances, vehicle condition and event-related technical findings.
Reports
Professional documentation
Structured appraisal documents, traceability, photographic documentation and technical conclusions.
Record
CPD training record
How hours, providers, topics and proof of participation are documented and reviewed.
Recertification
Four-year certificate cycle
The MOTOEXPERT certificate is valid for four years. Continued competence must be documented and reviewed before renewal.
Recertification examination
After each validity cycle, a recertification examination or another defined competence-confirmation procedure is required. Failure to pass means expiry of certification and removal of the active record from public verification.
