A certified MOTOEXPERT appraiser should complete at least 40 hours of professional training per year. Training should be relevant to the appraiser certified scope and current automotive technology.

Modern vehicle systems, electronic control units, repair methods and diagnostics.
Electric and hybrid vehicles
High-voltage safety, battery damage, hybrid architecture and diagnostic evidence.
Driver assistance systems
Sensors, calibration, camera systems, radar, lidar and damage relevance.
Damage and valuation
Repair cost calculation, depreciation, residual value and market data interpretation.
Report quality
Photographic evidence, traceability, clear reasoning and reviewable conclusions.
Code of Honour and confidentiality
Professional conduct, data protection, impartiality and correct use of MOTOEXPERT status.
Training is part of status maintenance
The annual training record may be requested during certification, surveillance, complaint review or recertification. Training hours should be documented with provider, date, duration, topic and proof of participation.
