MOTOEXPERT Recertification
MOTOEXPERT appraiser certification is valid for a defined four-year cycle. Recertification confirms that the appraiser continues to meet the association standard, maintains competence and remains suitable for the certified appraisal scope.
Recertification requirements
Recertification is not automatic. The appraiser must demonstrate continued suitability.
4-year certificate cycle
The MOTOEXPERT certificate is valid for 4 years and must be renewed before expiry.
Continuing professional development
The appraiser should document annual training, especially in modern vehicle technology and damage documentation.
Continued appraisal activity
The appraiser should demonstrate continued professional activity in the certified scope.
Review of work quality
MOTOEXPERT may request sample documents, updated appraisals, calculations or valuations.
Active member status
The appraiser should have no membership arrears and no active disciplinary block.
Renewal or expiry
If recertification is not completed or passed, certification may expire.
Recertification process
A structured renewal process supports consistent quality.
Reminder and file opening
MOTOEXPERT may open the renewal file before certificate expiry.
Document update
The appraiser submits updated professional data, insurance confirmation, training records and current appraisal examples where required.
Scope confirmation
The association checks whether the appraiser still supports the certified scope.
Competence review
MOTOEXPERT reviews continued competence, training and selected work quality.
Renewal decision
The certificate may be renewed, limited, suspended, expired or referred for further review.
